The political exchange is free software that Prospective Parliamentary Candidates can use to communicate their views on specific issues to local voters. The service does not endorse or support specific candidates or political parties. The purpose of the political exchange is to encourage informed political debate and communication.

Already, over 600 candidates from all political parties have  started using the political exchange, while our e-activist software has been used by voters to send over 55,000 messages to their local candidates in the past few weeks.  

Your contact details in our database are not made public or distributed to any third party.  The comments that you post on issues are not sold to anyone.  We hope that you will use the political exchange and encourage you to find out more by consulting our FAQ section of the website, our privacy policy, and terms of use.

So what does it do?

• Campaigning organisations encourage candidates to express support for their policies. The issues at the heart of their campaigns are posted to the political exchange. 
• Candidates log into the political exchange to post their views on the issues and commit support if they choose.
• The comments from candidates and their declarations of support are displayed back to supporters of the campaigning organisations that posted the issues. Supporters view the comments after entering their postcode in a form and before they send a message to their local candidates.
